Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

Quarterline is an app football clubs use to run their coaching: match stats, player profiles, feedback, team selection, training and club messages. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

Quarterline is a business name of A.MO Advisory and Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 56 687 316 203), South Australia 5082. In this policy, “we” and “us” means that business.

Clubs and Quarterline

Each club that uses Quarterline decides who joins, what is recorded about its players and staff, and who in the club can see it. We provide the app and look after the information on the club's behalf. A club only ever sees its own information: one club can't see another club's players, feedback, notes or votes.

Some information about you may be entered by your club before you ever sign in, for example your name and guernsey number from a match stats sheet. Your club is responsible for telling its players and staff that it uses Quarterline and for having a good reason to record what it records. If you have a question about what your club has recorded, you can ask your club or us.

What we collect

We only collect what the app needs. Optional profile fields can be left blank.

Injury and health information

Coaches can record injuries (the injury, dates, expected return and recovery notes) so they can manage the playing group safely. This is health information, which the law treats as sensitive. Only the club's coaches can see it; players and other clubs can't. A club should only record injury information with the player's consent (or a parent or guardian's for a player under 18), and only what it needs to manage selection and recovery. Injury details are never sent to our AI provider.

Why we use it

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

How we use AI

Some optional features use an AI model from Anthropic (Claude) to help coaches write. Coaches choose to use them, and everything AI writes is a draft that a coach reads and can change before anyone else sees it.

The “Ask Quarterline” assistant on our public website sends the visitor's question, and our published website content, to the same provider to write an answer. It can't see any club's information.

Injury information, Best & Fairest votes, coaches' private notes, contact details and passwords are never sent. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, information sent through our account is not used to train its models. Anthropic may keep it for a limited time to detect misuse. Each club's AI use has a monthly limit set by us. A club can ask us to switch the AI features off.

Who we share it with, and where

We use these service providers to run Quarterline. Each only gets what it needs to do its job, under its own privacy and security terms.

ProviderWhat forWhat it receivesWhere

Some of these providers are overseas, mainly in the United States, so personal information may be accessed from or stored there. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments and take reasonable steps so they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Match stats from your statistics provider

Clubs upload the match statistics files they receive from their statistics provider. Those files contain players' and opposing players' names, guernsey numbers and statistics. The provider owns that data and licenses it to the club. When a club uploads a file it confirms it's allowed to use that data in Quarterline for its own coaching. Opposing teams' statistics are only visible to the club that uploaded them.

Cookies and tracking

We use two cookies: one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. The app also saves an offline page on your device so it can tell you when you've lost connection. We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and fonts and images are served from Quarterline itself.

Players under 18

Some clubs have players under 18. Clubs should collect the minimum about them, get a parent or guardian's consent where needed (and always for injury information), and only invite a player under 18 to sign in with their parent or guardian's agreement. Player information is never public: it's only visible inside the player's own club.

Keeping it secure

How long we keep it

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Your account → Delete my account. We remove your sign-in, your name and email, your club memberships, notifications and any pending invitations straight away, and your access ends on every device. If you're a player, your player profile and statistics stay with your club as part of its records, no longer linked to you; ask your club if you'd like your profile, photo or contact details removed, or contact us. Club records you wrote, such as feedback, stay with the club under “Deleted user”.

If you can't sign in, email amo@quarterline.com.au and we'll do it for you once we've confirmed it's you.

Seeing and correcting your information

You can see most of what's held about you in the app. Ask us at amo@quarterline.com.aufor a copy of all the personal information we hold about you or to correct anything that's wrong. We'll respond within 30 days. If we can't give you something, we'll explain why.

Emails we send

We send emails that are part of using Quarterline: invitations, password resets, and your club's notifications such as feedback, team selections and announcements. You can change which notifications you get by email in the app. We don't send marketing emails without your consent, and any we do send will have an unsubscribe link.

If something goes wrong

If we find a data breach likely to cause serious harm, we'll contain it, tell the clubs and people affected, and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Wellbeing and support

Quarterline isn't a support service. If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out:

If anything written in the app suggests someone may be at risk, our AI features reply with these support details instead of a normal answer.

Questions and complaints

Contact us at amo@quarterline.com.au or South Australia 5082. We'll acknowledge a complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when how we handle information changes. We'll show the new date at the top and tell clubs about significant changes before they take effect.
