Quarterline Coach is an AI assistant coach for the Head Coach. It drafts the feedback, reports and briefs that eat into a volunteer coach's week, using your club's own stats, and you check and edit everything before anyone else sees it.
What it does
What the AI assistant coach drafts for you
Big clubs have analysts and assistant coaches to write this up. At a local club it usually falls to one person late on a Sunday night. Quarterline Coach does the first draft so the Head Coach can spend that time on the decisions.
Player feedback and insights
Drafts each player's feedback from their stats and the focus areas from recent weeks, in plain words a player can take to training. The coach reads it, changes what they like and sends it.
Match reports
Builds a short dot point draft from the match stats and your line coaches' reports. The Head Coach edits it in their own words before it goes to the coaching group, the players or the club.
Opposition briefs
Before you play a team again, it writes a brief from every game you have played against them: results by quarter, where their scores came from, how the team stats compared and the players who hurt you most. The Head Coach checks it before sharing it.
Training programs
Suggests a training program from your club's own drill library, based on recent results and the next opponent. The coach keeps, swaps or drops each drill.
It also answers questions about your club's stats, such as who is leading the clearances this season, or which players have the best record against your next opponent.

Every player judged on their own line's job
A general AI tool doesn't know that a key defender shouldn't be marked down for kicking no goals. Quarterline Coach does. It reads each player's stats against the job of their line, so defenders are never judged on inside 50s, goals or forward 50 marks, and forwards are never judged on rebound 50s or spoils.

Nothing the AI writes reaches a player, the coaches or the club until a coach has read it and chosen to send it.

It is for the Head Coach only, each club's AI use has a monthly limit, and a club can ask for it to be switched off.

- What is an AI assistant coach?
- It is software that helps a coach with the writing and analysis around coaching. Quarterline Coach drafts feedback, match reports, opposition briefs and training programs from your club's own data, and answers questions about your stats. It never sends anything itself: a coach checks every draft first.
- Who can use Quarterline Coach?
- The Head Coach. It is optional, and a club can ask us to switch the AI features off.
- What is never sent to the AI?
- Injury information, Best & Fairest votes, coaches' private notes, players' own self reviews, contact details and passwords. Information sent through our account isn't used to train the model.
- Which AI does it use?
- A model from Anthropic (Claude), in the United States. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent and every provider we use.
